What is the deal with the recent flag burning ban trying to go through congress. That is ludicrous. How in the fuck can you even attempt to punish someone for burning a piece of cloth. That kind of law is totilatarian nonsense. Damn fools who created and support this nonsense probably attacked Iran for quelching the voice of the people or some shit like that. Deservedly so, but you can't go around criticising governments then create laws in the same spirit of that which you have just criticized.

Kelo et al v. City of New London, 04-108 Click on that link and find out what kind of ludicrous decision the supreme court made today. It is insanity. The decision won't stand for long, people won't let it. I can't believe they would ever make a decision like that. Especially considering the recent uprooting in Zimbabwe. The have essentially given the state government the same power to do what they are doing in Zimbabwe. Ok maybe on the surface it is not as discriminatory or for the same reasons but now anyone with money and influence can legally remove people from property as long as the give them "just compenstation". Ha "just compenstation" yeah right. I shit my pants when I read this. I thought what the fuck this has to be a joke. If there is anything that crosses bounds of partisianship and is part of the foundation of The Constitution it is right to property (except for Native Americans). Ok so the original framers had a different definition of who had the rights to property but over the last 200 years or so it has become recognized as a right that can't be taken away. Weird. There is no way this stands. As soon as some rich developers or corporation tried to have a city pull some kind of garbage like that it will blowup.

Survey: 'High risk' of WMD attack within decade , that was the headline on a story on cnn.com just now. Do I have to even explain how moronic, nonsensical or idiotic that it?

Wednesday June 22, 2005 - 8:50AM EDT

Such a nice day today. I woke up early and am raring to go. Ha yeah right. The last thing I want to do is walk into that windowless crap shack called work. I could stay home, get a good breakfast and work on websites for a few hours before heading out for lunch then the gym around 2pm. Come back a continue working on websites for the rest of the day. Get more done in one day than in 2 months at work. Fuck. Since Monday any enthusiasm I had for going into work has gone straight into the garbage. I think I freaking hate that place now. I just want to leave now and forget about it. Just not show up ever again.

I'm going to punch you - comments(0)

Wednesday June 22, 2005 - 12:22AM EDT

My final meal of the day consisted of the following. 1 whole grain pita, a bit of brie, 4 pieces of spicy tuna sushi, a banana, a mishapen piece of hershey's dark chocolate and 473ml of pomegrante mango juice. The sushi was terrible but everything else was solid. I took a picture.

Behe said intelligent design merely contends that evidence of complex physical structures shows that design, rather than evolution, is responsible for an organism or cell. - full article

Design rather then evolution. What in thee fuck does that mean? NOTHING. It is poppycock, hoobastank, hogwash. Holy freaking shit that man should be put in an asylum and restricted from ever teaching biology again. Evolution never even considers the question of design. Design implies a why? Evolution isn't concerned with why because it is irrelavent. The follwing excerpt highlights precisely what is wrong with this crapola

Some lawmakers struggled to understand the concept.

"I've always viewed evolution as sort of the ultimate design. It would change and adapt and accommodate to whatever the situation was," said Rep. P. Michael Sturla. "When did the intelligent design occur, in your theory?"

Behe had no answer.

"Questions like, 'When did the designing take place?' ... are all good questions. We'd love to have answers for them, but they are separate questions from the question, 'Was this designed in the first place?'" Behe said.

This is more than sad, this is beyond pathetic, there aren't words to describe this mockery of logic, science and common sense. First of all you can never prove the question "was this designed in the first place?" Whether you could prove it or not it wouldn't ever matter anyway. It is a meaningless question. I still can't fathom how some people want to believe in that trash.

NBA Rookie Style - comments(0)

Tuesday June 21, 2005 - 6:38PM EDT

So the NBA set an age limit. I think it is wrong to do so but it was a necessary compromise and won't adversely affect the sport or anybody who wishes to play. What I think should have been done is instead of an age limit is the establishment of a program for players aged 18-23 or so in which they are required by the NBA to attend college or take some college classes while playing in the league. Then again that would be too altruistic for a major sports league.

I was just reading an article about Yahoo! and Google. It had a sentence that went something along the lines of not finding bored engineers at Google because they have stuff for you to do or you do your own personal projects. Bored engineers is a funny characterization because it is so true. Like now for instance. Fuck.

Hilarious Boring and Ineffective - comments(0)

Tuesday June 21, 2005 - 2:52PM EDT

I just had possibly the funniest meeting ever at my current workplace. It wasn't even laugh out loud funny. It was hilariously boring and ineffective. I've never witnessed such ineffective communicators. No one seems to be able to express clearly their position within the first 10 trys. It takes about 50 different explanations before anyone has any semblance of what is going on. The funniest part of the whole thing was when, this guy was asked about what they were talking about. He pauses for a few seconds second after hearing the question as if he is thinking of an answer then says "sorry...I was just...spacing out there". I wanted to start rolling on the floor when I heard that. Not only because I was trying to keep my eyelids from hitting the ground but because I was thinking the exact thing he just said. The meeting was informal but it was still a hilarious response. Nobody laughed out loud and I think a few people were annoyed with the response but I thought it to be brillant.

Can't Sleep - comments(0)

Tuesday June 21, 2005 - 4:37AM EDT

I'm hovering between a feeling of calm and distress. I can't sleep. Been tossing and turning all night. I'm not nearly as agitated as I was during the day. I'm just restless. I know I have to go to work tomorrow and waste a bunch of time sitting in a chair doing nothing. But I have other things I need to do. Sitting in that chair all day crushes my motivation so that by the time I get home it is struggle to do anything sometimes. Yesterday was one of those days. I definately have things I need to do. I'm glad that I'll be finished at this place on Friday.

The two main american food groups are, meat and deep-fried. Don't get me wrong I love me some deep-fried with a side of meat but I can't eat that shit everyday. I had sushi today. Which is a pseudo meat.

This article pissed me off for so many reasons.

CIA chief has 'excellent idea' where bin Laden is. Tell me. Does that headline not sound like something from The Onion? Holy freaking snit what is CNN thinking with that kind of headline. It sounds hilarious. The Onion doesn't even need to parody that. They can just copy everything as is and put it on their site and it wouldn't miss a beat.

There is a big problem in companies with technology. MOre specifically bridging the gap between the technical and non-technical people. What most companies have is a people that are very technical and people that aren't but know a lot about the business itself. When it comes times to integrate technology all hell breaks lose. There is rarely anyone in a company that can make a smooth transition to technology integration. The non-technical people who know all about how the company operates and the products they produce want to do things a certain way without having a clue as to how technology works and will help things. The technical people are hell bent on doing it a certain way and have a complete disregard for the products and how the company works. So you get these crappy systems that don't do shit for anybody. The favorite line of technical people when they are presented with an issue from the non-technicals is "it can't be done". You hear that crap so often and without any real explanation. They can bullshit the non-technical people but I want to punch them in the face when they try that crap on me. A lot of technical people have an attitude of rigidness and refuse to try anything even remotely difficult or creative. Also sometimes I see very little forgiveness among techs for mistakes or misconceptions that non-techs make. The techs just curse under their breath or call the non-techs idiots and don't even bother to explain things in an clear easy to understand manner. Sometimes there is no willingness among the technical people to explain to the non-techs how exactly things can be done with computers. Non-techs have no problem explaining their situation but the techs just keep their mouth shut and do what they want anyway. Damn fools.

I'm hungry. Sushi for lunch. Maybe curry again. I've finished half of what I need to get done at work. Only took about an hour. I'll finish up the rest after lunch. I have to pace myself. Ha.

I metioned a teacher who was like 85 and competeted in masters track and field events. He had a gold medal from some masters olympics. I think his name was Claude Hills. He is listed on this page for the 70+ high jump.

Humor - comments(0)

Monday June 20, 2005 - 12:23AM EDT

I like Family Guy and American Dad has its moments. But sometimes you get tired of that kind of humor. It isn't as smart as The Simpsons or Futurama. There are also a few shows on the cartoon network's late night lineup that use that same kind of ultra-dumb super-obvious humor and they just freaking suck. I like Stewie the best from Family Guy. Peter is not funny and doesn't even come close to Homer Simpson. Peter is just mainly annoying. I can see why that show didn't appeal to a lot of people and was cancelled so many times. It just isn't something that anyone can enjoy right away.

I was just in the bathroom washing my face and upon close inspection of the skin on my nose all I could think was, I need a facial and a peel. Got damn what have I become.

Giant has Powebar Protein Plus bars for a dollar less than what they sell them for at Wawa. So I bought a whole box for $18. I saved a bundle.

Something is wrong with my right shoulder. I doesn't feel right and I hear things popping in and out. I'll need to get it checked out. Hopefully it is nothing serious and just a strain or torn muscle. It would suck if it was torn cartilidge or damaged ligaments but my stregth and range of motion is not affected. I don't think anything is broken, I imagine I would probably be in more pain if it was something really serious. I hope it is not something I need surgery to fix that would really suck. I don't even know when it happened. Maybe it is just scar tissue from a previous injury.

Still Sunday Afternoon - comments(0)

Sunday June 19, 2005 - 8:02PM EDT

Still Sunday afternoon. The TV went off hours ago and the iTunes playlist is playing quietly in the background. I've cleaned up my room and most things in the house are in order. I've set out the website things I have to work on but I have no motivation at the moment. I was just sitting at the window sill, the fan is on, blanking staring outside at nothing. Not sure what to do with myself. Thought I should maybe go to Borders and get the new 2600. This is my last week of work before Venezuela and I have a few things to finish with side work before I leave. I should be able to get them done. I'll be taking a laptop with me anyway. Saw Batman Begins yesterday. Normally I'd go to the movies now but I don't feel like it. I'm hungry but don't feel like eating. I've slept too much today already. I just ate some bad frozen pasta. Ehh, it wasn't that bad. I wasn't that good either. Fairly neutral I guess you could say. I just ate some neutral pasta.

What do I do? I'm sort of tired but I don't want to sleep at 7:45pm. I'm not hungry anymore. I have no focus or motivation to work on websites right now. I should be drinking but I don't have the stomach for that. I need to turn on the TV again. Hear people's voices. Ok it is on. King of the Hill is on. Fan in the window is still on in the background. The Simpsons are about to come on. Every few minutes I get this searing sensation in my stomach. I'm going to concentrate on The Simpsons now.

Sunday Afternoon - comments(3)

Sunday June 19, 2005 - 2:33PM EDT

For those Sunday TV watchers or pathetic losers sitting home alone with no hope, sunday afternoon TV is a treat. The Sunday maintenee present on almost all the major channels has an enjoyable mix of movies both new and old, good and bad. It is for those who don't feel like going to the theater at the moment.

I took my new driver's license photo a few weeks ago. I look like an escaped mental patient that was roughed up a bit before being booked on charges of distrubing the peace. I have this terrified look and I am unshaved with my hair out of control. I have a drab dark gray t-shirt on with a equally as drab light gray hooded sweathshirt hanging off one of my shoulders. I'm very proud of it. It would have looked better but they didn't allow me to have my mouth open in a stupified manner.

I think Ford and GM are in more trouble than they have let on with their recent slumps. I don't know I am just guessing and hoping.

This is retarded - comments(0)

Saturday June 18, 2005 - 4:23PM EDT

This hoopla over the recent credit card account theft is retarded. There are so many things wrong with the reporting of this incident not to mention the incident itself that it is ridiculous. First of all, these fucking computer experts give their little sound bytes that makes it seem so freaking simple to break into a computer system as if all systems are built with this intrinsic weakness. These bastards are just instilling irrational fear in people about storing data electronically. Lets all just put stuff on paper in file cabinets again, yeah that will be safe. I think I want to personally slap every reporter on TV reporting this incident. 99% of those reporters don't know a damn thing about computer security except of what they have read in PC World magazine. They feed into the irrational fear with their skewed view and incomplete knowledge.

Aside from the abysmal reporting regarding computer issues in general, especially security, the main problem is the way the system is setup. These so called privacy advocates who don't want national records keept on citizens do more harm than good with their paranoia. It really shouldn't matter if someone has a fucking number and your address in order to impersonate you. If we had a national fingerprint and picture database then it would be virtually impossible to steal someone's indetity for face to face purchases. How many people can fake both a fingerprint and someone's face. Let me tell you, maybe about 5 people in the country. Maybe also have a voiceprint for even more security. I don't get what the big deal is about having a detailed records stored by the government about their citizens. What is the big fucking deal. Paranoid losers think the g-men are out to get them. THE MAN may have his foot up your ass but he can't screw you everywhere or else he wouldn't get his cut. Fuck this isn't even worth explaining anymore. The answer is so simple. Identity theft is the most preventable crime and no one wants to take the right steps to prevent it. All we have is a bunch of half-assed answers that don't do shit.

It is about 10 o'clock Friday night. What am I supposed to do. I want to get piss drunk and then eat a cheesesteak at 3am. But I am an hour away from Pat's and Geno's and calls to friends are unanswered or they are hanging out with the wives/fiancès. Maybe I'll just go to Pat's anyway. Nah too far I can find cheesesteak elsewhere. What about getting piss drunk. Ha I don't even like drinking. Ha that is a lie. Oh fuck I'm hungry.
