Beginings

Well my first day of work it over and it went as well as any first day could have gone. In other words I haven't quit yet. This place is an infinite improvement over the debacle at MBNA. I got a badge on my first day and access to a computer. An the computer is fairly new Pentium 4 with a decent size high res screen. Tomorrow I will get email. They have spoiled me already. Business casual attire which is fine and everyone is rather laid back, however they actually do work. Compared to the mess and MBNA this place is a mecca of technology and organization. I actually feel as if the people who call themselves experts are actually experts and that everyone I work with is technically competent. Of course last but not least I am actually going to do work, not sit around and pick my ass all day. All the decisions have been made as to what is going to be done and I reviewed initial specs today. One more review tomorrow and I will start doing something. It is just an amazing change from the loads of bullshit at MBNA. This place is not exciting by any means and it is in your normal spirit crushing cubicles but I know I'll at least learn something and do some solid work. I'll serve my time like a model prisoner and be on my way.
